Cabrera Lawn Bowls Club

Founded as a natural grass bowling club in the Cabrera Sierras in 1986 and now located in a sun drenched location on the outskirts of Turre with stunning views of the sierras and surrounding area our members, since June 2024, now practice their sport on an artificial grass surface laid on an dynamic base which, unlike concrete bases, resists the occasional earth tremors and drains any inclemency superbly, allowing outdoor play all year round.

Club mornings, where the club is open to the public, are on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings from 9am.

For club members there are competitions, normally run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and during the winter months a local league taking place on Wednesdays.

We also host visiting teams, both from the UK and elsewhere in Spain, at various times within the year

Club members may also practice at any time when there is no organised bowling

As a sports club we welcome visiting clubs and individual bowlers and fees information can be obtained via the “contact us” option. Bowlers new to the sport are also welcomed with free coaching and a selection of bowls for them to choose from. Lockers are available for members who wish to secure their equipment on the premises. The clubhouse has bar facilities that provide hot and cold drinks along with a selection of snacks and there are social events organised for members plus their partners and friends.

Social events are organised at the Clubhouse, bingo evenings, quiz night, games nights, music nights and in the summer, evening bowling.

Lawn Bowls is a sport that can be played by men and women all year round. Why not come along and try it for yourself?

We offer three free introductory lessons with our qualified coaches.

If you decide lawn bowls is for you, we offer yearly membership at only €225, a bargain as this gives you over 150 opportunities to play.

We also have short term memberships available which can be viewed here This includes a special membership for UK based bowlers limited by the 90 day rule memberships

The Club has its own grounds, including a large clubhouse with terrace with wonderful views overlooking the mountains. We have social events, such as music evenings, quizzes, club lunches and charity days.
